The Hijab Journey
I’ve read a couple of blog posts this week about the journey a women takes when deciding to wear a hijab. These area always touching and enlightening and always different. The stories I’ve heard are of women who decided themselves to wear hijab. They weren’t forced to cover. They made the choice, and even though sometimes they struggle, they wouldn’t go back.
I don’t know where the hijab journey will take me with my ladies. Pea and Kate practice sometimes, they are conscious of the scarves that their friends wear, and the ladies and teachers in their lives. They comment and compliment, and I know that there is something cooking in the back of their little minds. I’m waiting for the questions again, and I’m stockpiling information from these posts to help me through.
Happy Friday.
